EXPECTATIONS
Students learn to follow 2RSK expectations: respect, responsibility, safety, and kindness. Examples of responsible include following directions and completing work. Examples of respect include taking turns and listening to others. Examples of safety include walking carefully and using instructional materials properly. Examples of kindness include saying nice things to others and being a good friend.
BEHAVIOR
Our class uses a positive behavior clip chart (see your child's daily folder) as a visual way to show students how their day is going. Students clip up when students are following expectations and procedures. Students clip down for behavior when improvement is needed to follow expectations and procedures.
Students may earn Maryville Money for following expectations and procedures throughout our school and classroom. The money is saved each month in our classroom and deposited at the end of the month when students have an opportunity to spend some or all of their money at a school store. A bank note will go home each month so you know how much your child has earned. You can discuss how much your child can spend and where to spend it.
Please see Policies and Procedures in the spiral planner that is sent home at the beginning of the school year for details on reporting absences, dress code, and more.
